Senior Claire Miller and sophomore Amity White qualified for the girls KSHSAA class 1A state cross country meet.
The Pretty Prairie High School duo placed in the top 15 individually at regionals in Wichita on Saturday, Oct. 26 to qualify for state. White placed eighth overall and finished with a time of 21:34.44. Miller placed twelfth overall and finished with a time of 22:42.57.
"Both Amity and Claire ran extremely well at region," Head Cross Country Coach James White said. "I am excited to watch them compete at state this weekend. They will do well!"
Miller and White will compete at state on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 12:20 p.m. at Wamego Country Club.
Admission to the state meet is $10 per person. Digital tickets are available. Walk up tickets must be purchased with cash. More information is available at kshsaa.org.
